Extreme Endeavors Featured in Fortune, Capacity Magazines

Extreme Endeavors has been attracting a lot of media attention recently. It seems that a small business in West Virginia with big plans can capture the imagination. You can see our Fire Coat as a representative of Texas Instruments "Lunatic Fringe" in Fortune magazine (page 125). You can see how our underground research is advancing in directions beyond that ever thought of from our initial goal of enforcement of the Endangered Species Act in Capacity magazine (page 62).

Extreme Endeavors Featured in NSS (National Speleological Society) News.

Extreme Endeavors has been featured in the January 2007 edition of the NSS News. This article showcases the use of our SMART system to monitor environmental conditions in underground sites. It also explains in a clear and concise manner the kinds of engineering, social, and political challenges that Extreme Endeavors overcame in order to accommodate the various interested parties. Extreme Endeavors Uses SMART Technologies To Protect Endangered Species of Bats

In 2004, Extreme Endeavors designed the Subterranean Monitoring And Research Technology (SMART). This technology is currently being used by a mining company in West Virginia to help monitor the environment of an endangered species of bat. Working with the WV Division of Natural Resources, the USDA, and EPA, Extreme Endeavors has provided a valuable solution that bridges the divide between environmental scientists and the mining industry.
